BigMovieFreak.com is the brainchild of some bored office slave, just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe. In a nutshell, BigMovieFreak.com is basically a non-profit movie fan site with a slightly irreverent approach. I know, I know, it’s hard to tell, with all the gaudy red-and-black schemes, asterisked profanities and the fixation on all things Badass. It’s here that the Big Movie Freak (BMF) and his fellow BMFreaks pay tribute to movies (and sometimes television) through our opinions and reviews. Hopefully, our opinions will strike a chord with other movie fans out there, and that you guys will get a kick out of reading the stuff here.

Formerly known as “Cyber:lam”, the BMF started reviewing movies verbally to his friends, until he noticed that it was impossible to cram all his thoughts into a 21st century human’s 5-second attention window. Realising that putting his verbose thoughts into words is the way to go, he started to convert his MSN MyGroups into a makeshift movie review site, due to a severe lack of website-creating skills. This he made up for with his flair for design, so after three years, four dozen reviews and a thousand times of pestering and encouragement from close friends later, he braved the technical waters that is the Geocities, and came up with… Cyber:lam. Three months later, BigMovieFreak.com was born.

Geek, artist, lover, gamer, cubicle coolie… the Big Movie Freak has been indulging on movies since he could remember. BMF has a wide palate for movies – it doesn’t matter what genre, language, nation, or budget, as long as the story is compelling and/or entertaining. Nevertheless, the BMF has an affinity for science fiction, action, mysteries and thrillers. He is sometimes referred to as Lam, Cyberlam, the Lamster, Lamb, or El Lamarino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
