Fantasy (genre)
Simply, movies that have fantastical elements, like magic, talking animals, and/or imaginary worlds. Example: Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, The Wizard of Oz, and porn.

Femme Fatale
A beautiful woman who seduces men into performing horrible deeds like murder, or puts them in dire situations. This character is commonly found in
film noirs. Example: Vivian Rutledge (Lauren Bacall) in The Big Sleep (1946). Pronounced as "fam fuh-tahl".

Film Noir
See Noir, Film.

Final Cut
The final edited version of a movie that will eventually be released and shown as the final product.

Flop
When a movie performs terribly at the box office, or fails to break-even. Antonym:
Blockbuster, Hit.

Full-screen
A full-screen presentation is a movie shown in a 4:3 aspect ratio, usually to fit a traditionally square television screen. This is achieved through a pan and scan process, involving cropping the sides off of a widescreen movie, which is a no-no for most movie freaks. Old movies, like the ones from the Golden Age, were originally shot in 4:3 ratio (widescreen wasn't popular yet), so don't scream if you noticed your newly bought Casablanca DVD isn't in widescreen format.

Full Shot

More commonly known as a Wide Shot. See Wide Shot.
