Comparing it to the fight scenes in Ong Bak when he took on the street fighter (who used everything he could get his hands on), where I really felt the impact... and also other Ong Bak fights in the arena, he did deliver a lot of impact to me. And I’m quite sure the other audiences, both martial arts practitioners and non practitioners, are also able to tell the difference. As a conclusion, I call this movie the Ong Bak rip-off cum Jet Li wannabe with a rather bizarre ending. It didn't worked for me at all, just sad to say.

Besides the bad points, this movie has some real neat flying spinning kicks, which would bring in some new taekwondo recruits. However, I would give this movie only 2 out of 5 because I didn't like the movie immediately during the first 10 minutes of screening. This doesn't mean that he's not a good fighter or is a bad martial artist. It's just that he doesn't have what it takes to be a main actor. He could always play some bad guy roles because he looks like the guy in Fist of Legend (Japanese general) vs Jet Li, except much shorter. The worse part of this movie is of course the story, especially the last part. Totally crap, it's like the director got fed up and doesn't know what to do and just ended it that way. What a convenient way to end a movie! It's like 'ok, you jump, and the other guy… well, shoot! A crippled guy with margarine knife whacked a whole crew of Triads... how imaginative! Not only that the part doesn't make sense, i also felt that the fight between him and the three so-called 'Street Fighters' looked quite impressive at the beginning, but ended up disappointing as well because the gangsters was confident and looked like they were going to put a good fight ... and again, it didn't deliver.

Ong Bak rip-off Fatal Contact is a complete rip-off of many movies, with a bizarre story line and very messy fight choreography. As far as i can remember, this movie is very similar to Ong Bak. Except that the fighting is rather acrobatic, less crispy (you don't feel the intense power generated by Tony Jaa) and that guy tried to hard too look like Jet Li. It's like watching a Bruce Li trying to act like Bruce Lee, making facial expressions like him. Take note that he actually did say that he wanted to be like Jet Li in the movie itself. But unfortunately, he lacks the acting skills and his facial expression is rather stiff, and at some angles, his face makes the audience feel very uncomfortable (maybe it was just me).
