Enjoyable, but no Gromit
I am a big fan of Wallace and Gromit and the current collaboration between the creators of Shrek (Dreamworks SKG) and Wallace and Gromit (Aardman Animations) was rather 'entertaining'.

The storyline was somewhat similar to other American movie genres that are targeted at juveniles and kids (wealthy family goes on vacation, leaves something behind that is rather lonely (think home alone trilogy!!) get 'kicked out', end up in a different neighbourhood, meet some bad guys, boy meet girl, boy helps girl, boy hooks up with girl, live happily ever after. Don't get me wrong; I do watch such movies, only if I do insist on consuming 'mindless entertainment'!!

Bottom line, if it were not for my love for the animation done by Aardman Animations, which I believe has salvaged this show somewhat, the movie would have tanked (based on its worldwide box office takings, it already did; see BoxOfficeMojo.com -
BMF) This is definitely one that has to be rated 'AVERAGE'.

(P.S. My girlfriend did enjoy it though, even though she disliked Wallace and Gromit! Guess us Malaysians are 'suckers' for American entertainment.)
