| V for Very Good! This movie is kinda like Zorro and Batman 2-in-1. Except this guy has a better sense of humour because his mask makes Scream funnier than he was in Scary Movie 1. Anyway, the action is much more intense and the violence is much greater than i've expected. He's like Kroenen (from Hellboy) when it comes with dagger and didn't disappoint Voldo (Soul Calibur, the video game). The thing is like about this movie is the storyline. Unlike getting bitten by spiders and gaining super powers or anything like it, i feel that this story is quite original. (Spoiler Alert) It's like the Anti-virus companies trying to create virus and also creating virus to eliminate those virus they have created and get big bucks from doing it. Of course in this case, it's using human test animals rather than real animals ... and testing them on 'the real thing'. I mean, that is not impossible, isn't it? Independence day did speculate that there was a possibility that the government might be hiding some crashed spaceship ... big foot was spotted in Malaysia lately... whatever. He he! (Spoiler Ends) |
| Well, this movie could be the better movie i've watched after Casino Royale.
V for Vendetta reminded me of Darkman, disfigured guy who wears a mask and whack the baddies who made him looked bad. Seems like the idea came from that movie... the difference is that Darkman is very much comical compared to Vendetta, which is more stylish and realistic. Still, Vendetta managed to deliver... which is V for very good! V for Vendetta has great action, good storyline and pretty decent acting skills. Therefore i would say it's BADASS!! |

| Anyway, V came out as a cool character, thanks to Mr. Hugo Weaving's cool voice. I wonder what it would turn out if Vin Diesel took that role... Natalie Portman's acting took me back to the time when she was a young girl back in Leon. Actually when she got bald somewhere in the middle of the movie, i felt very much of THX 1138. (Spoiler Alert) Anyway, the best part of course would be the ending, where he finally shows his chopping skills... not after being blasted with more bullets than what hitted Chow Yuen Fat in A Better Tomorrow or James Caan in The Godfather, but the only difference is that he had brains and wore an iron board (that idea was popularized by Clint Eastwood in A Fistful Of Dollars). However, he did die - because he was human after all… which i utmost respected, otherwise i will have to show middle finger. (Spoiler Ends) |
